I appreciate focusing on simple geometric shapes in watercolor a monotone, because I could pay attention solely to water control and creation of light and shadow/3-dimensiality. I’m a newbie to watercolor so these basic exercises are useful; I can see how I’m developing reflexes, more intuitive approaches that help the entire process flow–vs. me overthinking and then overworking areas.
